Botox®, Dysport® & DAXXIFY™ Neurotoxin Treatments
 

Botox®, Dysport®, and DAXXIFY™ are categorized as neurotoxins (developed with the botulinum toxin type A protein). They are also referred to as neuromodulators, which describes their effect on relaxing muscles and erasing wrinkles.
 

Botox®

Botox remains the most common cosmetic procedure in the United States, with over 7.4 million people receiving Botox injections every year. There is good reason for this, as Botox works beautifully at erasing wrinkles, is safe, easy, virtually painless, and requires no downtime. The results are amazing and can last 3 to 6 months!

Botox relaxes the muscles that cause the expression lines on your face, particularly frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet. It is also effective for treating several other conditions, including headaches, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and TMJ. The risks are few and generally mild. The main complaint from patients is that they love their Botox results so much that they must keep doing it!
 

Dysport®

Dysport is an alternative to Botox with several possible advantages. It is equally safe and effective and lasts about the same length of time as Botox. However, the onset of action may be slightly faster. The exciting thing about Dysport is that it also seems to work well in patients who have developed antibodies against Botox. Antibodies can significantly reduce the efficacy of Botox, meaning that it may not work as well or last as long. This does not seem to be a problem thus far with Dysport.
 

DAXXIFY™

DAXXIFY is the newest alternative we offer. It is a peptide-powered neurotoxin that, for some patients, may last slightly longer compared to Botox or Dysport. It also has a faster onset, showing smoothing effects in as little as 1 to 2 days. It is highly favored for patients who metabolize traditional neurotoxins quickly.
